My pipe passion began after retiring from Law-Enforcement.  After serving in the Gulf War and 23 years as an LEO, I found the transition back to regular life stressful. I received my first pipe as a gift and enjoyed the solitude and relaxing nature of smoking a pipe.  Once retired, I began to wonder about making a pipe for myself. As I researched pipe making,  I met Mark Tinsky and his son Glenn of American Smoking Pipes. As we became good friends, Mark and Glenn  agreed to apprentice me. So for several years I watched, cleaned up the shop, stacked briar wood, smoked pipes, and began to learn the process and skills of making pipes.

During this journey I was fortunate to also meet Sean Reum of Reum Pipes. Sean has become a friend and has taught many many things. In fact, Sean gave me my first motor to shape pipes with. I still use this motor today. As time past, I came better and better with each pipe I shaped. I found my appreciation for all pipes, but especially the classics.  I grew to love the pipe community and all its people and decided to try and build solid pipes for collectors as well as make them affordable for nearly any budget.
